3.    Buy a home last year? You may be eligible for the First-Time Homebuyers Credit, even if you’re not a first time home-buyer!
4.    Unemployed in ’09? Up to $2400 of unemployment benefits are tax free.
5.    Did you do any energy efficiency upgrades to your home? You might be eligible for a tax break.
6.    Your health coverage might be eligible for an 80% credit.
7.    The IRS does not send taxpayers unsolicited e-mails about their tax accounts, tax situations or personal tax issues. If you receive such an e-mail, most likely it’s a scam.
8.    Don’t forget your Making Work Pay Credit - $800 for married couple filing a joint return or $400 for other taxpayers.
