The role of the Leadership Council is to implement the Ignite mission by:

  • Providing strategic direction for Ignite, including setting of priorities, goals and activities related to Ignite;
  • Acting in accordance with the Leadership Council Guidelines;
  • Providing oversight and direction to all Ignite Action Teams to ensure that Action Teams actions are coordinated, effective, and keep within overall Ignite ideals and goals;
  • Administering the planning and organization of the Ignite and all related Ignite events;
  • Acting as primary advocates for Ignite; and
  • Directing Ignite resources.

Leadership Council Officers and Responsibilities

President
Provides the leadership and vision for Ignite by leading Leadership Council meetings, attending and providing input at Roseville Chamber meetings, as well as being the acting spokesperson for Ignite. The Chair shall make reasonably sure that each Officer is upholding his/her commitments and responsibilities.

Vice-President
Provides support to the Chair and shall act as the Chair in the Chair’s absence. The Vice-Chair shall assist the Chair and make reasonably sure that each Officer is upholding his/her commitments and responsibilities.

Secretary
Provides support to the Chair, shall keep the minutes of all the actions of the Leadership Council. The Secretary shall make sure that each Officer is fulfilling the requirements of the Leadership Council position.

Ignite Coordinator

  • Ensures a stable and successful succession of Events focusing on both Professional Development and Quality of Life for Ignite members.
  • Provides leadership for the Events Action Team.
  • Ensures all events are congruent with Ignite’s mission and goals.
  • Provide tactical, strategic and logistical support to the various Ignite events.

Sponsorship/Membership Chair

  • Ensures stable and successful growth of Ignite’s sponsorships and memberships.
  • Provides leadership for the Sponsorship/Membership Action Team.
  • Develop strategies for increasing sponsorship/membership
  • Reports on all items concerning sponsorship, membership and all items concerning the financial condition of Ignite.

Marketing Chair

  • Lead the Marketing/Communications Action Team.
  • Develop marketing material for Ignite to ensure “brand identity” congruent with Ignite’s mission and goals.
  • Provide necessary web support for Ignite.
  • Identify and ensure strategic partnerships with organizations that can assist Ignite in achieving its mission and goals.

Role of the Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is an advisory body providing strategic connections and resources throughout the community. This Council is comprised of high-profile business and community leaders who help promote Ignite among their peers. The main goal of the Advisory Council is to provide leadership and experience to the Leadership Council to help Ignite achieve its mission and goals.

Role of the Action Teams

Action Teams are the core of Ignite. The vision and mission of ignite is implemented through the various Action Teams. Each Action Team has a leader, which reports directly to the Leadership Council. Leaders of each Action Team must be Leadership Council members, but, any member of Ignite can be an Action Team member. The goal of each Action Team is to provide leadership and vision on the ground for its respective purpose and implement the Leadership Council’s direction.
